Virtually all aspects of society are social. Society is a group of people who co-exist in an organized manner. The term "social" refers to the interactions and relations that take place between people. Therefore, to live within society is to be social.
Society includes all aspects of life that people choose to share. Work, home life, religion, school and politics are all aspects of society. Groups of people who organize their time around these things are called communities. Communities may be exclusive societies as well as part of a larger society. The study of the way people interact within society is called sociology.
