Snappy casual attire, also known as “smart casual,” consists of clothing that is not fancy, but is also nicer than what one would wear to a football game or grocery shopping. Snappy casual attire is commonly accepted as jeans and a dressy top for women, or a shirt and cardigan for men.
For women, a “snappy casual” outfit does not need to incorporate jeans or pants, but could also involve wearing a skirt and matching top or a dress. For men, a jacket or blazer is not too fancy for snappy casual when paired with dark pants. It is worth noting that a tie is completely optional for this style of dress.
