Most compact microwave ovens run a little larger, ranging in size from 0.7 to 0.8 cubic feet with varying exterior and interior height, width and depth measurements. Compact microwave oven wattage ranges from 600 to 900 watts to perform light work such as reheating leftovers or making popcorn or heavier tasks like cooking frozen meals or baking potatoes. Compact microwaves are designed for smaller kitchens or those with limited counter space, RVs and dorm rooms.
