The SLT label appears on Dodge trucks and refers to the trim level of that particular model. For example, the Dodge RAM Pickup 1500 truck model has five trim levels. In order, these packages are the ST, SLT, TRX, Sport and Laramie.
The SLT title is not an official acronym, so it doesn’t spell out a series of words. The SLT is a slight upgrade from the stock truck and usually includes improvements like a longer truck bed and 5-speed automatic instead of the stock 4-speed automatic. The high end Dodge Laramie is usually a limited edition or luxury cab when compared to the SLT model.
