Ree Drummond’s ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, is 433,000 acres and is the 17th largest among the nation’s top property owners, according to Modern Farmer. The Drummond family owns most of the ranch land but leases some of it from other individuals.
The Drummond family ranch is in the middle of an area owned by the Osage Indian tribe. Ree Drummond, the wife of a successful cattle rancher, popularized her ranch life on the blog Confessions of a Pioneer Woman, garnering national fame and winning Weblog Awards yearly from 2007 to 2010. The Drummond family employs cowboys to help maintain its large cattle operation, and Ree continues to update her personal blog, write cooking and children’s books, and simultaneously run the Tasty Kitchen website.
