A Coke can holds 12 fluid ounces or 355 milliliters. A can's dimensions are 4.83 inches high, 2.13 inches in diameter at the narrowed top and 2.60 inches throughout the rest of a cylindrical can.
These sizes arose in the USA in the 1980s and 1990s. The sizes of Coca-Cola cans in other countries can vary due to a number of factors, including the type of metal used to fabricate the cans and the culture of the area in which the cans will be sold. In Canada, Coke cans only hold 280 milliliters, while in Japan the can sizes can go all the way up to 500 milliliters. Cans that are produced in America are made mostly of aluminum, but in Europe and Asia they are normally a mix of steel and aluminum alloy.
