Single-player card games that use the traditional deck of playing cards are collectively referred to as solitaire, or patience outside of the United States. Some examples of solitaire game types are Klondike, Forty Thieves and Freecell. There are also some trading card games designed to be played by one person.
There are many categories of solitaire, and each of these solitaire game types have further variations with different rule sets. For example, some variations of the FreeCell category are Baker’s Game, Penguin and Stalactites. There are also some games that use their own customized set of cards that can be played by one person, such as the Marvel Trading Card Game.
