What Is a Short Summary of “Animal Farm” by George Orwell?

“Animal Farm” is an allegory reflecting the events that led to the Russian Revolution of 1917. “Animal Farm” is a classic dystopian novel that was written by George Orwell in 1944.

Told in third person by an all-knowing narrator, “Animal Farm” takes place on an English farm. The oldest pig on the farm, Old Major, calls for a clandestine meeting of all animals. He shares with them his dreams about a revolution against Mr. Jones, the farm owner. When Old Major dies, the other animals decide to fulfill his dream and start a rebellion that results in taking control of the farm and creating their own set of commandments.
