A sphere is a round-shaped object in three-dimensional space. All points on a sphere’s surface are the same distance from its center point. Some examples of a sphere are a globe, marble, soccer ball and basketball.
In geometry, two important formulas relating to a sphere are how to find its volume and its surface area. Theses formulas are: volume = (4/3) × pi x r^3 and surfaces area = 4 x pi x r^2, where “r” refers to the radius and “pi” is approximated as 3.14.
A sphere is a geometrical object that is also perfectly symmetrical about its center. The distance from a sphere’s center to its surface is called the radius. A sphere does not have any vertices
