How Do I Set up My Computer to Type a Letter?
Users can type a letter on a Windows PC or laptop by opening and using a program called WordPad. A variety of word processing software programs are also available for either Windows or Mac computers.
Word processing software, such as WordPad, Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or Pages, allows the user to enter and manipulate text as well as a variety of other document related functions.
Click on the Start icon, which should be located at the bottom left corner of the screen. In the Search box, type “WordPad” and then enter. Click on the WordPad icon that will turn up in the search.
Enter the letter. The document can then be saved, printed or sent electronically to the recipient.
Other types of word processing software can be purchased or downloaded and used in the same manner.
