A Polaris ATV vehicle identification number, which contains the serial number, is typically on the left frame rail inside the left-front wheel well next to the fender on the right hand side. The last six characters of the VIN are the vehicle’s serial number.
Brushing away any dirt or foreign material build-up on the frame rail and using a flashlight can make it easier to read the numbers. The Polaris website provides a tool for decoding the VIN. Decoding the VIN provides the owner with pertinent vehicle information, including vehicle type, body style, engine type, model year and the serial number. This information is usually required to identify and order proper replacement parts.
