The serial number on a Baldwin Piano is located on the inside of the piano on the iron frame near the top of the strings and pinblock. On grand pianos, the serial may be underneath the keyslip, the wooden strip running across the front of the piano below the keyboard.
A serial number for a piano is located on a metal plate usually attached inside the piano by the tuning pins. If the serial number cannot be located, a piano technician can safely remove parts to access it. The serial number is located in the top corner on the back of the piano on upright Baldwin pianos.
