Who Has Scored for Six Different Premiership Clubs?
As of 2015, nine different players have scored goals for at least six different teams in the English Premier League. The standouts include: Andy Cole, Nick Barmby, Les Ferdinand, Robbie Keane, Marcus Bent and Darren Bent (no relation). Nicolas Anelka, Craig Bellamy and Peter Crouch are also recognized.
Nicolas Anelka became the newest member of the club in 2013 when he scored for West Bromwich Albion. The striker previously notched goals as a member of Arsenal (1997 to 1999), Liverpool (2001 to 2002), Manchester City (2002 to 2005), Bolton (2006 to 2008) and Chelsea (2008 to 2012).
The same year saw Cardiff City’s Craig Bellamy become the first player to score for seven Premier League clubs. Prior to joining the Bluebirds, Bellamy previously suited up and scored for Coventry City, Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, West Ham United and Manchester City.
In addition to scoring goals for six different clubs, striker Andy Cole has tallied the second-most goals in Premier League history with 187, bested only by Alan Shearer’s 260 goals from 1992 to 2006.
Bent played for eight Premier League clubs, but failed to score as a member of the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Tal Ben Haim and Wayne Rutledge have also appeared in games with seven different teams.
