Schederma cream is a topical, prescription drug used for the treatment of dry skin conditions and severe sunburn. Schederma contains the steroid diflucortolone and the anti-fungal drug isoconazole.
Schederma cream is used to treat a variety of conditions such as severe poison ivy rash, psoriasis or severe atopic dermatitis. Because diflucortolone is a very strong steroid, it is only meant to be used externally, and on areas of the body which are not sensitive. Adverse reactions to the use of topical steroids include steroid atrophy, osteoporosis, abnormal growth of hair, infection of hair follicles, miliaria and many more. It is important that you only use such potent steroids under the advisement and supervision of your physician.
