How Do You Save Audio Clips From a Text Message on the IPhone?
To save audio clips sent by text message to your iPhone, open the audio clip, click the Forward icon and then choose Mail. Email the sound clip to your personal email address, and download the sound file to your personal computer. Open the sound file in iTunes, and then transfer it back to your phone.

Email the sound clip to yourself
Open Messages, and then click on the sound file that you are trying to save. Click Forward and then Email. Enter your personal email address, and click Send.

Download the sound clip to your computer
Move to your computer, and access your personal email. Download the sound file to your computer.

Add the sound clip to iTunes
Open iTunes, and then drag the sound file into iTunes. This adds the audio clip to your iTunes library.

Transfer the audio clip back to your iPhone
Connect your iPhone to your computer, and wait for it to be recognized by iTunes. Click on your iPhone, and then click the Music tab. If your iPhone is set to sync automatically, this adds the audio clip to your iPhone’s music library. If your iPhone is set to sync manually, click the Sync Music button. Then, click Apply. The audio file is now on your iPhone and can be accessed through the music app.
