Samsung pedestals are not universal for its entire line of washers and dryers. All front-loading Samsung models fit onto the company’s pedestals, but the pedestals are not compatible with top-loading machines.
Samsung washer and dryer pedestals raise the machines to a more convenient height, and they vary in height and color. Some taller models, such as the 27-inch pedestal, include integrated storage drawers. An alternative to a pedestal is a stacking kit, which allows the user to stack a front-loading dryer on top of a front-loading washer. In addition to raising the dyer to a more convenient height, this solution conserves floor space.
