Tylenol is a brand name for acetaminophen, a type of pain reliever and fever reducer. Aspirin is a salicylate medication used to reduce fever, pain and inflammation. They are found in some combination medications for treating back, muscle and arthritis pain.
In the recommended doses, these two medicines pose no serious risks when used together.Taking more than the recommended dose of acetaminophen can cause liver failure or death. Exceeding the recommended dose of aspirin can cause intestinal or stomach bleeding, which can be fatal as well.
