Last Updated Apr 15, 2020 7:49:20 AM ET
"Who's Who Among American High School Students" was a book published yearly by Educational Communications, Inc., or ECI. The book was used to highlight a student's academic achievement and extracurricular activities. ECI also published "Who's Who Among American Teachers & Educators" and "The National Dean's List."
Each volume of "Who's Who Among American High School Students" included the student's name and achievements. Students could also have their photo published in the book. Those who chose to be included in the book could also qualify for scholarships from the ECI Scholarship Foundation. While inclusion in the book was free, students wishing to own a copy had to pay a fee.
On November 1, 2007, ECI shut down due to bankruptcy.
