Where Are the Russell Stover Candies Outlet Stores?
As of 2015, Russell Stover operates 47 company-owned retail outlet stores, including 38 stores in 18 states. Missouri, Kansas, Tennessee and Texas all have multiple outlet stores, while Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania and Virginia are some of the states with only one Russell Stover store. Outside the United States, Russell Stover locations can be found in Canada, Puerto Rico and Australia.
Missouri is the state with the most outlet stores, with a total of eight retail stores spread throughout the state, in cities such as St. Louis, Sedalia, Ozark and Blue Springs. There are an additional five retail stores in nearby Kansas, in the towns of Kansas City, Iola, Fairway, Merriam and Abilene. Most of the Russell Stover stores are located in the Midwestern part of the country, with the store in Montrose, Colorado, being the furthest west.
The Russell Stover’s company consists of three separate brands: Russell Stover, Whitman’s and Pangburn’s, which together account for more than 60 percent of all boxed chocolate sales in the United States. This makes Russell Stover the largest manufacturer of boxed chocolate in the country and the third-largest chocolate manufacturer overall, behind only Hershey and the M&M Mars companies.
Russell Stover was founded in 1923 in Denver, Colorado, and had already grown to include more than 35 retail stores by the time its founder and namesake died in 1954.
