What Are the Rules of the Board Game “The Game of Life” by Milton Bradley?

The overall goal of “The Game of Life” is to be in possession of the most money at the end of the game. Two to six players are needed, and the game is suggested for ages 8 and up.

“The Game of Life” comes packed with a unique board and a number of accessories that are needed to play, such as game pieces, play money, cards and a spinner. Players should first ensure all pieces are present before getting into a game. LIFE tiles should be shuffled to create a draw pile, and cards should be separated into decks by their category.

Play begins with each player spinning the wheel. The player who lands on the highest value takes the first turn and play moves clockwise from her. On each turn, players spin the wheel and then move forward the number of spaces indicated. Additionally, on each player’s first turn, she must choose to either begin a career or go to college. College starts the player $40,000 in debt but allows her to eventually access better-paying jobs. Players who opt for a career draw a Career and Salary card.

Players should follow the instructions of spaces they land on and draw cards when instructed. After all of the players have reached retirement, money and assets (LIFE tile cards) are totaled, and the player with the highest amount wins the game.
