How Do You Remove Yellow Road Paint From a Vehicle?

MortAuPat/Other

If road paint is still fresh and is less than one-day-old, it can be removed from cars simply by applying WD-40 to the paint and washing it in a pressure car wash. However, if the paint has dried for a considerable amount of time, then Vaseline has to be applied to it prior to washing.

  1. Wash the car in a pressure car wash

Take the car to a car wash, and wash off the road paint with a pressure car wash as soon as possible. If the paint has not dried off, the pressure car wash should be enough to loosen and wash away the paint off the car.

  2. Apply WD-40

If the paint doesn’t come off after the pressure wash, then let the water dry, and then apply WD-40 over the paint. Spray it on the paint, and let it stay for a couple of hours. Wash the area after this time period, and repeat this process until all the paint has been removed.

  3. Apply Vaseline if the paint has dried

In case the paint has dried for more than a day, apply a considerable amount of Vaseline to the paint, and let it stay for 8 to 12 hours. The Vaseline softens the dry paint, making it possible to remove the paint by washing it in a pressure wash. If some paint residue is left after a wash, then repeat the process until satisfied with the results.
