What Does Reload or Refresh Mean?

In computer technology, to refresh or reload means to get the most updated version of a Web page. This can be done by right-clicking on the screen and choosing Refresh or Reload on the pop-up menu.

An alternate method of refreshing a Web page is to press the F5 key. Another is clicking on the refresh/reload button, which is an icon located in the browser’s toolbar showing one or two circular arrows.

Some browsers, such as Internet Explorer, use the term “Refresh” in their menus. Other browsers, such as FireFox and Netscape Browser, use “Reload.” However, for the purpose of Internet use, these terms are interchangeable.
