What Is the Relationship Between Law and Justice?

Law is the part of the justice system that focuses on enforcing specific rules and regulations when one party can show harm. The justice system includes all entities involved in the process of criminal and civil law.
In addition to laws, other parts of the justice system include the courts, law enforcement, prosecutors, defense counsels, and corrections facilities and workers, according to OregonLaws. Justice is focused on prevention and investigation, while law is focused on punishment.
Common types of law include criminal law, civil law, administrative law, common law and international law, according to Brown University and USLegal.
