How Do You Register Your Sync My Ride Account?

Customers can register their Sync My Ride account by going to the Ford Motor Company website, choosing the Manage option for Sync My Ride, and clicking on Log In or Register. The customer is asked if his car is a Lincoln or a Ford, and the registration page opens.

As of 2015, there are three different versions of Sync available, depending on the vehicle’s model and year. The three systems are the Sync basic system and Sync with MyFord, the Sync voice-activated navigation, and the Sync with MyFord Touch.

Customers can identify their version of Sync by display. Sync has a center display that shows basic information such as song title, caller ID, a digital clock and temperature. Sync with voice-activated navigation has a color navigation screen located in the center console that displays 3-D landmarks and maps. Sync with MyFord Touch has an interactive, 8-inch, color touch screen located in the center console.

Customers can identify by key features. Basic SYNC has hands-free calling, voice control of the owner’s media player, Sync AppLink and a 4.2-inch color cluster display or a horizontal two-line display. Sync with voice-activated navigation has the same features as the basic, but also has voice-activated navigation, color navigation screen, the capability to watch DVDs on the center display, a 10GB jukebox and HD Radio. MyFord touch as an 8-inch color touch screen, a media hub and two USB ports, and five-way controls on the steering wheel.
