Red toes can be a symptom of Raynaud’s disease, according to Mayo Clinic. In some cases, when the disease is triggered and the body warms up, toes or fingers may turn red, throb or tingle.
For most people suffering from a Raynaud’s disease attack, the toes or other affected areas of the skin first turn white, states Mayo Clinic. As the attack progresses, the skin can turn blue and begin to feel cold or numb. As warming occurs or circulation improves, most people notice their skin turning red; however, not everyone experiences all three color changes. The order of color changes can also be different from person to person.
