How Do I View Recent Searches on This Computer?
A good way to view recent searches on a computer is to go to the history section of Google’s official website. After the user has logged into the Google site, all of the search history will be displayed.
Going to the history portion of the Google website is better when compared to searching through browsers because it encompasses all usage. Unless a user has gone out from Google to another search tool, such as Yahoo!, their information will be logged.
Google will log usage on Firefox, Chrome or any other browser. To view the logs, one simply needs to log in to the history portion of the website. From here, the user can delete certain places visited, or clear all of the history. A user can also hit Pause as a selection, so that webpages are not logged. It should be kept in mind, however, that Google will still log searches associated with the IP address. A person can easily hide searches from someone else using the computer, but cannot pause information that may be useful to authorities in cases of wrongdoing. Users can also pause or delete search histories from within separate browsers, but it will only delete history from that browser only.
