How Do You Put Out Duraflame Logs?

To put out a Duraflame log, carefully douse the log with water or sand. If one is available, use a dry chemical fire extinguisher.

  1. Douse with water

Douse the entire log with water to put the fire out. Continue pouring until the hissing sound stops, and all the embers are out.

  2. Cover the log with sand

If water is not readily available, but sand or dirt is, cover the log with it. Sand absorbs heat and deprives the fire of oxygen.

  3. Use a dry chemical fire extinguisher

If a dry chemical fire extinguisher is handy, spray the log with it.
