To program a Samsung smart TV remote, turn on the device that you wish to control, and point the remote directly at it. Press the power and the set buttons simultaneously. Use a pointy object, such as a paper clip, to press the set button. When the device button lights up, enter the three- or four-digit programming code, and press the device button. Samsung smart TV remotes can control televisions, DVD players and several other entertainment consoles.
Alternatively, go to the support page on the Samsung website, and click the Televisions link in the TV and video section. The TV and video section is located in the lower left portion of the support page. Choose the type of smart TV that you own, or enter the model number in the search field. Click the Manuals and Downloads link, and download a copy of your TV’s user manual. You must have a Windows or Mac computer with a high-speed Internet connection to download a manual.
