How Do I Program My Samsung Remote Control?
Program your Samsung remote control using the Mode button or the appropriate buttons on the device. Some universal Samsung remotes have buttons for cable boxes, DVD players and other electronics, while others have a Mode button with a menu for selecting the correct device.

Turn off the electronics
Turn off device you want to control. Next, press the Mode button on the remote to switch the remote to cable box, DVD or another device. If your Samsung remote does not have a Mode button, look for and press the appropriate button that is labeled with your device.

Set the remote
Press the Set button on your remote control. If your device does not have a Set button, look for a small hole labeled Set. Straighten a paper clip or a similar thin wire, and push it into the hole to press the Set button.

Enter the device code
Enter the three-digit code for your electronic device. If you do not know the code, find it in the user manual of the device. Otherwise, search for the code on the manufacturer’s website. After entering the code, press the Power button on the remote control. The device should turn on. If not, check for alternate codes for the device.
