When Is Principal Appreciation Day?
National Principals Month is in October, and many schools and school districts designate a day during October to celebrate Principal Appreciation Day. The actual day on which Principal Appreciation Day takes place varies from school to school.
The National Association of Elementary School Principals and the National Association of Secondary School Principals designated October as National Principals Month in 2013.
The National Catholic Educational Association celebrates Principal Appreciation Day on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. These associations recommend this time as an opportunity for principals to reach out to their students, their parents and the community in general, as well as a chance for students and teachers to express their gratitude for their principals’ hard work.
