A person can schedule an office visit if the pain and weakness doesn't subside within a few days of home treatment or if the pain worsens. If there are signs of infection, swelling, calf pain after sitting for long periods of time or breathing problems associated with the leg pain, a person should see a doctor as soon as possible because these symptoms can indicate a serious medical problem.
