A pork shoulder can be cooked on either low or high in a slow cooker. The time it takes to cook varies based on the temperature setting.
A pork shoulder is an easy dish to cook in a slow cooker. It falls apart once it is completely cooked. Place the meat in the cooker with a few onions on top, garlic and wine. After filling the crockpot with ingredients, simply turn it on. The meat should be done in approximately 5 hours if it is on high and 8 hours if left on low. Once done, use a fork to shred the meat into pieces and serve.
