What Is Pop Culture?
Pop culture, short for popular culture, is a term that refers to products or activities that are currently being aimed at, and consumed by the mass population. Due to the definition of pop culture, it changes in time as the population composition changes.
The term popular culture has existed for hundreds of years. The first reports of it being used were some time in the 19th century. Pop culture has increased in scale as a result of technology advances over time. National newspapers, radios, television programming and the Internet have all had large effects on how fast and how far pop culture can reach.
