What Is the Place of Worship for Christianity?
Last Updated Mar 26, 2020 1:42:50 AM ET
The Christian place of worship for most of its denominations is the church. Different denominations of Christianity, such as the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church, typically have churches that are used for only their specific type of service.
Although it has related meanings, the noun "church" primarily refers to a building that Christians use to host public worship services. In predominantly Christian countries, such as England and the United States, churches can be found in almost every community. Some of the rituals performed by Christians in churches include the Roman Catholic Mass, Holy Communion and weekly worship services.
