What Is the Physical Description of Zeus?

The Greek god Zeus is often described as a strong, imposing older man, with long curly hair and a beard. His symbols are the thunderbolt, scepter and throne. Zeus was the god of the sky and ruler of all gods in Greek mythology.

Zeus had three sisters, Hera, Demeter and Hestia, and two brothers, Hades and Poseidon. He became ruler by winning a draw with this brothers after they overthrew their father, Cronus. Zeus had a golden throne on Mount Olympus’ highest summit, where he could watch over the gods and mortals. He acts as council to the other gods, settling disputes and punishing those who have wronged others.
