The perimeter of an object is the measurement of the sides of the object. Measuring the perimeter of a square or rectangle is easy, but measuring the perimeter of a cube is slightly more difficult. With a simple measurement, you can quickly calculate the perimeter of a cube.

  1. Measure the length of one edge of the cube

Each edge of a cube is the same length.

  2. Count the number of edges of the cube

    Every cube has 12 edges.

  3. Multiply the number of edges by the length of the edge to find the perimeter

For example, if the edge length of a cube is 10 inches, then 10 inches multiplied by 12 edges equals 120 inches.
