The perimeter of an object is the measurement of the sides of the object. Measuring the perimeter of a square or rectangle is easy, but measuring the perimeter of a cube is slightly more difficult. With a simple measurement, you can quickly calculate the perimeter of a cube.
- Measure the length of one edge of the cube
Each edge of a cube is the same length.
- Count the number of edges of the cube
Every cube has 12 edges.
- Multiply the number of edges by the length of the edge to find the perimeter
For example, if the edge length of a cube is 10 inches, then 10 inches multiplied by 12 edges equals 120 inches.
