Who Owns Gucci?

As of June 2014, Gucci is owned by the French company Kering. Gucci is an Italian fashion house founded by Guccio Gucci in 1921. It is known for its high quality leather goods and luxury clothing.

Gucci began as a store selling fine leather goods in Florence, Italy. It expanded to include clothing, jewelry and other items. In 1953, Guccio Gucci died, and ownership of the business was transferred to his four sons, Aldo, Vasco, Ugo and Rodolfo. In 2014, Gucci is overseen by its parent company, Kering, with Frida Giannini as the creative director. Giannini’s designs are known for combining a light, modern feel with the traditional patterns of the Gucci brand.
