Majorie Rieu was born in the Netherlands in 1951. She married Andre Rieu in 1975 and the couple has two sons, Marc and Pierre. Rieu is her husband’s full-time production manager. The publicity shy Rieu helps him create and organize his tours, sets and costumes, but she never goes on tour with him.
Andre Rieu is one of the most successful classical musicians in the world. He tours globally with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, playing his 1667 Stradavarius violin and specializing in the waltz. As of 2015, he has sold more than 40 million records worldwide.
