Are Old Elvis Records Valuable?

Elvis Presley’s “I Got Lucky” album and other rare Elvis albums have the potential of being quite valuable. If the album cover has a genuine Elvis autograph, it could be worth more than $1,000.

The rarest Elvis albums include an April 1960 10-inch Japanese release of “Elvis’ Golden Record” and a mispressed version of Elvis’ 1956 eponymous 12-inch vinyl recording on the RCA Victor label.

A February 2015 search on eBay revealed a dozen Elvis Presley records listed for $3,000 or more. Several auctions that feature a collection of Elvis records are poised to sell in the five-figure range.

Record collectors worldwide rely on the Goldmine record grading system. Mint-condition records are exceedingly rare. Most Elvis albums found at auction and collectible sites are in near mint condition.
