What Numbers Did Michael Jordan Wear?
Basketball great Michael Jordan wore three jersey numbers throughout his NBA career: number 23 with both the Bulls and the Wizards, number 12, and number 45. During his brief stint as a minor league baseball player with the Birmingham Barons, Jordan wore a number 45 jersey.
Michael Jordan is most recognized for wearing the number 23 jersey, both with the Chicago Bulls and during his short career with the Washington Wizards. He wore number 45 when he returned to basketball after his first retirement in 1995 because his number 23 had already been retired by the Bulls. As for the number 12 jersey, Jordan wore that number for one night after someone snuck into the Bulls locker room shortly before tip-off of a game and stole his number 23 jersey.
