Originally, the function on most landline phones for Last Call Return was *69, and many phone providers still offer it. Some landline phone providers have begun phasing out this service.
Every phone provider is different, so while one company may offer the *69 service at a per-use rate, another may include it at no additional cost as part of a standard line of service. In some cases, this feature can be added to a line of service for an additional monthly charge. In the case of companies that are phasing out *69, only customers who previously subscribed to it retain access.
