What Does the Number 10 Mean in the Bible?

In the Bible, the number 10 is used on many occasions to signify testimony, law and responsibility. The number 10 is seen as a complete and perfect number, and it is used 242 times throughout the Bible.
One of the more common uses is the 10 commandments given to man. These commandments are said to represent responsibility. Additionally, the number 10 is also used for a tithe, which is 10 percent of a person's earnings. In this instance, the number shows a testimony of faith in God. When God wanted to show Egypt his judgement of its empire and hold over the Jews, he decided to send 10 plagues.
