What Are the Names of Card Games?
Some of the most common card games include poker, blackjack, hearts, bridge, rummy, canasta, euchre, crazy eights and spades. There are card games for one player, such as solitaire, as well as card games for two or more players.
Poker is a betting card game traditionally played with two to seven players. Winning players exchange chips for money. Blackjack is another classic casino game wherein players try to reach 21 points.
Hearts is best played as a four-player game, although three to seven people can play. The object is to have the lowest score.
Bridge is another card game that involves bidding. It involves tricking other players, as does spades. Euchre uses only 24 cards, and teams of two players race to reach 11 points. Rummy involves making runs and sets. Canasta is a variant of rummy. In crazy eights, players take turns matching numbers or suits of cards.
