What Is Nabisco Zwieback Toast?
Nabisco Zwieback toast is a food item that is made for young children as a healthy snack. Zweiback toast is also known to help with teething.
Ziewback toast was unfortunately discontinued by Nabisco and can no longer be purchased through its website. However, select stores still have the product on their shelves. Brandt also makes an alternative Zwieback toast product for those people still interested in purchasing Zwieback for their little ones.
The Nabisco Ziewback toast product was 6 ounces and contained 21 servings per container, with each serving being a single toast slice. In a single serving, children would get 35 calories, 1 gram of fat, 1 gram of protein and 2 percent of iron. The ingredients were enriched bleached flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate [vitamin b1], riboflavin [vitamin b2], folic acid), sugar, butter (cream from milk), salt, soybean oil, lactalbumin (a milk protein), yeast, wheat gluten (a protein), partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil (emulsifier), eggs, spices (cinnamon, mac, nutmeg), salt, potassium carbonate, egg whites, mono and diglycerides. The Nabisco label asked parents and caregivers to monitor children and keep them in an upright position to avoid choking on the crumbs. It also asked that children only eat the snack if they are used to chewing on solid foods.
