How Much Do Semi Tires Generally Cost?
Last Updated Apr 2, 2020 5:14:18 PM ET
Prices for tires used on semis vary widely depending on the size of the tire and the manufacturer, though prices between $400 and $600 are typical as of 2016. Some tires can cost as little as $300, while high-fuel-efficiency tires can cost up to $1,200 per tire.
As with passenger car and pickup truck tires, larger semi tires tend to be more expensive than smaller tires. In addition, different types of tires are designed for use on the drive wheels, steering wheels and trailer wheels of semis, leading to additional variations in pricing. Drive-wheel tires tend to be the most expensive type of semi tire, while trailer tires are the least expensive type.
