How Much Does a Pair of Jeans Weigh?

The weight of a pair of jeans varies, but jeans can be grouped into three weight categories. Lightweight jeans are less than 12 ounces, mid-weight jeans are from 12 to 16 ounces and heavyweight jeans are above 16 ounces.

Lightweight jeans are the most comfortable to wear when new, as they typically require less breaking-in than heavier jeans. Heavier jeans are more durable and also keep the legs warmer. There are many different kinds of unique fits, like skinny jeans and boot-cut styles. Traditional blue jeans are the most popular style, but jeans come in a wide variety of colors and textures.
