It takes about 30 minutes of moderate exercise to burn off one cupcake, according to Health.com. One cupcake contains about 250-300 calories depending on the type and size of cupcake, the amount of icing, and any other toppings that have been added to the treat.
Health.com suggests several options to work off a cupcake. Outdoor activities include going for a 30-minute bike ride, playing a sport, such as volleyball, with some friends or running. To work it off indoors, try running up and down the stairs for one minute and then doing jumping jacks for one minute. Repeat this routine seven times.
