According to the Food and Nutrition Board, the recommended daily value of calcium is 1000 milligrams for males and females between the ages of 19 and 50. Calcium is found in dairy products such as cheese, milk and yogurt. This essential mineral is also found in kale, broccoli, Chinese cabbage and spinach. Many dry cereals and pastas in the United States are fortified with calcium.
