Arbor Mist contains approximately 6 percent alcohol. As a comparison, most wines contain 12 to 14 percent alcohol. Although Arbor Mist products are advertised as wine, they are actually wine mixers that contain fruit-flavored syrups and juices.
The Arbor Mist brand is a subsidiary by Constellation Brands, which owns dozens of brands of wines, beers and specialty beverages. Again, although Arbor Mist is marketed as a wine, Constellation Brands classifies the product as a specialty beverage in its product listings. Arbor Mist is produced by the Canandaigua Wine Company in New York. There are currently 16 different flavors featured in the Arbor Mist line.
