What Are Modern Communication Devices?
Modern communication device include cell phones, Bluetooth devices, computers, intercoms, televisions, radios, pagers, fax machines and GPS instruments. Satellites and other technology makes it easier and faster for people to share information across time and space.
Long before the development of more advanced technology, smoke signals and drum beats were used by ancient Chinese, Greek and Egyptian civilizations to communicate over long distances. The telegraph, which was invented by Samuel Morse and others beginning in the 1830s, was one of the earliest and most effective communication devices of the 19th century. It made long-distance communication possible by sending electrical signals over wires. The telegraph led to further experimentation and, eventually, the invention of the telephone, radio and computers, all of which influenced more developments in communication technologies.
